Your dentist's bill
You will get a bill after your dental visit. This sums up the different services that have taken place during the treatment, together with a code and an amount, as recorded in the rate order of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). The treatments are in part repaid to you by the insurer, depending on, for example, your age, the type of treatment and the conditions of your insurance policy.
The billing method of our practice
The standard procedure in our practice is that we first send your treatment to your insurer. We will then charge you for the part that is not paid back to you by your insurance company. If your e-mail address is known to us, you will get the bill by e-mail. In principle, billing is an completely digital process. By working paperless as much as possible, together with you we contribute to a better environment.
Insurance refunds
We send all bills to the health insurers, unless you have clearly asked us not to do so. The bill that you get from us will therefore already show you if and for what amount the bill is paid back by your health insurer. So, you will only get a bill when you still have to pay an amount after the refund from your health insurance company is taken from the bill.
Do you have a question about your refunds by your insurer? Please contact your own insurer.
Paying the bill
If we know your e-mail address, you will get the bill by e-mail. The email has a link with which you can download the bill. You can pay the bill directly by way of using the payment link from iDeal that is included in the e-mail or by bank transfer. Make sure to pay in time, to avoid extra costs to be charged to you.
Prefer the bill by post?
Of course you can also still get the bill by post. If you prefer, you can contact the practice so that we can put that in our system.

What are the main payment terms of your account?
Dental Practice Diemen-Zuid may, if this is possible, claim your bill with your health insurer. You will always see this refund on your bill.
Dental Practice Diemen-Zuid expects you to pay the bill before the day that is mentioned on the bill.
If you have not paid the bill before the due date, you will be in default without further notice of default being required. Because you may of course have forgotten it, you will get a reminder asking you to pay the bill. If payment is not made within this term, Dental Practice Diemen-Zuid will charge reminder costs.
Dental Practice Diemen-Zuid may first deduct your payment from the collection costs and then from the original amount on your account.
Please note that if you make a complaint or register with another healthcare provider, your bill will still have to be paid in the end. Your payment obligation cannot be suspended as a result.
