Dental costs

The tariffs for dental care are nationally fixed by the government. All dental practices must follow these rates. Do you want to know in advance how much a treatment will cost? The Dutch Healthcare Authority has put together all rates in this PDF.

This survey of the NZa gives a code, a description of what treatment is given and the cost for all treatments. In a number of cases, the rate is exclusive of technology and/or material costs. Technology costs are costs that have to be made for a certain treatment and that we buy from  external partners. This also applies to specific material costs; this is not about consumables (“verbruiksmaterialen”). In the tariff description, these services are indicated with an asterisk *.

Material and technical costs

The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) has obliged dentists to give patients insight into the technical costs on their website. You will pay these costs without any extra charge, following the rules of the NZa. You will never pay more in technology and material costs than we pay when we buy them.

To give you insight into the material and technology costs we have put together a survey in this PDF.
